Objectives

The objective of this course is to equip trainees with strategic leadership and change management skills needed to optimize local government revenue collection Specifically, the course aims to achieve the following specific objectives: i. To apply strategic leadership principles for expanding and diversifying municipal revenue streams ii. To formulate strategic governance models for proper revenue management and control iii. To build competencies for leading organizational change and transition toward modernized collection systems. iv. To execute data-driven leadership strategies for optimizing local council income.

Target Group

Council Directors (MDs, DEDs, TDs), Council Treasurers (CTs) and Heads of Revenue Units, Revenue Collection Information System (LGRCIS), Internal Auditors, Trade and Licensing Officers, Heads of Planning, Statistics, and Monitoring, Human Resource Officers and political oversight figures such as Mayors, Council Chairpersons, and Chairpersons of the Finance, Administration, and Planning Committee.
